Parent Volunteers Needed - Dress RehearsalsThe We need parents to assist with our dress rehearsals. Parents will be stationed by the stage door entrace to Century II to assist with student arrival at rehearsals. Corresponding time slots are available by ensemble rehearsal dates/times.
Youth Talent Audition Applications Now Live!Reminder: Applications to audition for the Young Artist Concerto Competition (Seniors only) and Stephen Paul Wunsch Foundation for Young Musicians Award (all WSYO students) are now live! Audition date is Sunday, December 14th. Application deadline: Friday, November 14th.

String Players: Our Spirit String Ensemble signups are live! The Spirit of the Season String Ensemble is a string orchestra open to all WSYO string players that performs holiday music at the WSO Spirit of the Season concert, the Mark Arts “Holidays Around the World” concert, and at Larksfield Place for their holiday concert. There is no extra cost to participating in this ensemble.

Larksfield Chamber Music Series Dates now available!Reminder: Students in grades 9-12 must sign up to volunteer usher or perform at Larksfield. More details can be found in the handbook on this web page.

Our Larksfield Chamber Music Series dates are now available! Students can sign up to perform solos, duets, trios, or quartets for residents in the Larksfield community. This is a great way to practice performing in a low-stakes environment. Students should prepare around 8 - 12 minutes of any music of their choice, and can invite friends or siblings to perform with them. The performance event will take place from 1:00 – 3:30 PM, and students will perform in three locations throughout the day. These events count toward the required volunteer hour – so sign up before the dates are filled!
The deadline for tuition assistance applications has passed. Please reach out to youthorch@wso.org with any inquires about work-study opportunities and payment plans.

The WSYO Usher Program has been established to provide a meaningful educational and musical experience for WSYO members, while providing a needed service at Wichita Symphony performances.
All WSYO members in grades nine through twelve are required to usher for at least one Wichita Symphony concert each semester. Ushering is open to students in grades seven and above. Each WSYO student usher may receive up to two complimentary tickets for the WSO concert for which they usher, subject to availability. The complimentary tickets will be made available the day of the concert. Additional information will be sent to ushers the Monday preceding the concert weekend for which they are signed up to usher.
