Youth Wind Ensemble Conductor

Bryan Kirk is an active educator, clinician and musician. He has taught band in Kansas for 25 years. Currently, he is Director of Bands at Andover Central. He is also the Performing Arts Chairperson for the Andover Public Schools. Mr. Kirk serves as Executive Director of the South Central Kansas Music Educators Association. He served as president of SCKMEA from 2017-2021. Mr. Kirk was assistant director of the Wichita Wind Ensembles for 13 years, serving as director of the Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, and Assistant director of the Wichita Wind Ensemble Professional Band. Mr. Kirk’s ensembles have been selected 10 times to perform at the Kansas Music Educators Association In-Service Workshop. He holds degrees from Friends University and Kansas State University. He is a member of the Kansas Music Educators Association and the National Association for Music Education. He has served on the worship staff at Wichita First Church of the Nazarene for 18 years. Mr. Kirk is married to Jennifer Kirk, a private flute teacher and band director in the Wichita Public Schools. They reside in east Wichita with their 2 sons.
