Phoenix Rising

Jun 22
2 PM

featuring Stacy Garrop, composer | Holly Mulcahy, violin | Delilah Reed, artist

The legend of the phoenix is one of hardship, rebirth, and redemption. Composer Stacy Garrop beautifully weaves these themes and the imagery of a magical bird reborn from the ashes into her stunning new work Phoenix Rising for solo violin. Join us for the world re-premiere of this piece during a Zoom recital presented by Wichita Symphony violinist Holly Mulcahy. The recital is free, but you must sign up:

In this recital, we are also offering an activity kit for just $2 to engage in learning, creation, and exploration. We invite you to learn, explore, and make creations inspired by legend of the phoenix and Phoenix Rising. This includes a coloring page by local Wichita Artist Delilah Reed.

All proceeds will be split 50/50 in support of the Wichita Symphony and artist Delilah Reed.

We'd love to see your creations and featuring them during the recital! If you create something from this activity kit, share it with us here.
