Lise de la Salle

About Pianist Lise de la Salle

Following her incredible performances of Rachmaninoff's complete piano concertos in 2019, the Wichita Symphony is thrilled to welcom pianist Lise de la Salle back to the Century II Concert Hall stage! Lise has established a reputation as one of today’s most exciting young artists and as a musician of uncommon sensibility and maturity. Born in Cherbourg, France in 1988, Ms. de la Salle was surrounded by music from her earliest childhood. She began studying the piano at the age of four and gave her first concert at nine in a live broadcast on Radio-France. To learn more about Lise de la Salle, visit lisedelasalle.com.

Arrive Early for Concert Talks

If you’d like to learn more about the music in our concert programs, Concert Talks are just what you need! Before every Masterworks Concert, the Wichita Symphony Orchestra will present pre-concert talks which help prepare you and deepen your understanding of the music to be performed in the program. Sometimes our guest soloists even join Maestro Hege for a discussion of their concerto collaboration! Free to all ticket holders, Concert Talks take place in the Concert Hall one hour prior to each Masterworks performance.
