The Wichita Symphony Society Board of Directors announces the second Symphony al fresco, a fundraiser for the Wichita Symphony Orchestra Education Programs. On Friday, May 17, at 5:30-9:00 p.m., on the grounds of Fulton Valley Farms musical ensembles, made up of musicians of the Wichita Symphony and friends, will be found performing Classical, Tango, Jazz, Irish fiddling and more. Guests are invited to spend two hours moving from venue to venue to hear the ensembles and feast on heavy hors d’oeuvres from local restaurateurs. Casual attire and shoes for walking around the farm.
The evening concludes in the barn with delightful desserts and a live auction led by McCurdy Auction, Sierra Scott will be Master of Ceremonies. Items offered at the auction include dinner with Daniel Hege, WSO Percussion and Conductor Experiences, a Scholfield Luxury Package trip to Kansas City, dinners by Tanya Tandoc and Chester’s Chophouse, Angel Fire Condo, artwork and more. Tickets are $100.00 ($60.00 tax deductible) and may be purchased from the WSO offices, second floor of Century II Concert Hall or by calling 316-267-7658.
