Dan Kamin, buffoon soloist
A classical concert goes horribly wrong when an annoying mime battles conductor Daniel Hege for control of the Orchestra. Then the mime unmasks to introduce two timeless Charlie Chaplin comedies, EASY STREET and THE IMMIGRANT, accompanied by terrific new symphonic scores by Grant Cooper.
There’s no better way to experience the art of Charlie Chaplin than the way his original audiences did – on the big screen with live musical accompaniment. And there’s no better person to introduce his artistry than Dan Kamin, who trained Robert Downey, Jr. for his Oscar-nominated performance as the comedian, and created Johnny Depp’s comedy moves for BENNY AND JOON. It’s an uproarious evening of comedy and music!
Please also enjoy artwork on Century II Concert Hall’s walls as part of Wichita’s Final Friday Art Crawl, with featured work by Jo S. Zakas, Jeanne Ward, Stephanie Ward, Bob Bayer, Katherine Allys Perez, Lindy Wiese and Sean C. Ward.
Sponsored by Cessna Aircraft Company, Emprise Bank, KSN, Armstrong Chamberlin, Printing Inc. and Tallgrass Film Festival
